Kevin’s Cause, a Carson area non-profit suicide prevention organization in collaboration with Carson City Councilman Mike Gipson, hosted “Let's Talk - Break the Silence Suicide Prevention Symposium,” a panel and audience discussion featuring professionals representing the fields of mental health, suicide prevention, grief counseling, and drug and alcohol counseling.

 The symposium took place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 in the Victoria Community Regional Park Community Room, 419 E. 192nd Street in Carson CA.  It was very successful!!!

A wonderful supporter, Lena Cole-Dennis wrote: "Enjoyed the Symposium. Filled with the right group of people who shared invaluable information. Finally, met Dr. Lisa Bolden. She is a community treasure. Especially loved Big Don a suicide survivor. Wanda Williams Jackson's husband and my brother went to Compton together. Wanda graduated with my other brother. I am so happy I have information to share, words to say, numbers to call. I am not afraid to ask, "Are you Suicidal?""
